This one of a kind stole was commissioned by the members of the DuPage Unitarian-Universalist
Church, in Naperville, Illinois.
When the intern-minister announced
she was going to be ordained by the church, the
woman's group gathered pieces of fabric from the membership. The
fabric was given with the direction, make a stole.
The ivory background provides a beautiful setting for this stalk of
colorful tulip-like flowers growing out of the richly colored ground.
All of the fabrics provided by the members
were used in this stole, which added to the challenge of the project.
